The Winstep Nexus Dock is a FREE professional dock for Windows. With Nexus, your most frequently used applications are only a mouse click away - and Nexus turns working with your computer into a fun and exciting experience.
Nexus Ultimate is an enhanced version of the free-to-use Nexus dock which is available stand-alone or as a component of Winstep Xtreme (a single easy-to-install package featuring all of Winstep's popular desktop enhancement products for Windows).

Nexus will put on your desktop a dashboard that you can use to access your most used applications.
By default, you will be able to access Nexus controls, the Start Menu, the System Clock, the Recycle Bin, the CPU Meter, the Weather conditions for your area, the RAM meter, your default web browser, and your default mail client. Nexus will also place a button that will allow you to take a snapshot of the screen, saving it as a JPG in your desktop. The program also announces the current time at regular intervals with a loud voice.
Through the Preference command, you can place the dashboard on any edge of the screen, or let it float wherever you want. You can also choose the size, reflection, spacing, and transparency of the icons. It is also possible to choose which effects you want the program to use when hovering over an icon, such as magnifying, zoom, bounce, rock, etc. The general appearance of the dashboard can be personalized using a variety of themes. You can also choose to use different sound schemes, and customize the icons and animations used by the program.
Nexus is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, 2003 Server, Vista, and Windows 7. It can also be installed under Win9x/ME/NT4, but the most advanced options will not be available. |
